Schachl
blend 05
6 young winemakers teamed up to share their common preferance for the "Blauer Portugieser". Christian Steiner from Sooß, Bernhard Ceidl from Baden, Helmut Herzog, Christian Herzog, Karl Lielacher and Harald Schachl, all from Bad Vöslau, want to put the "Blauer Portugieser" back on the map.

Thanks to the earl of Fries and Mr Robert Schlumberger the "Blauer Portugieser" has gained worldwide popularity. Today it's as well known as "Vöslauer" at home and abroad.

The wine "blend 05" is made of perfectly grown and carefully harvested grapes from local vineyards in Bad Vöslau, Sooß and Tattendorf (which belong to winery Ceidl). The 6 winemakers put together their know-how and expertise in order to create a premium-quality wine that offers the assortment's typical charcaterisics.

The Blauer Portugieser 2005 presents itself juvenile, fruity and velvety. Its colour can be described as a pleasant ruby-red underlined by a tender purple glimmer. Its bouquet shows an aroma of berries of the wood.
The "blend 05" goes especially well with seasonal meals like game and venison.

This wine is available at every participating vinemaker (see names above).
